Málaga 1-3 Barcelona

A very good job that the Blue and Whites didn’t leave things until the last day as they went down 1-3 to a weakened Barcelona team. M’alaga took the lead after half an hour through Seba Fernández, but Bojan equealised from the penalty spot just before half time.

Málaga up to ninth in La Liga

Málaga will look back on this season and think what might have been as they continue their good run with a 1-1 draw at Athletic Bilbao and climb to ninth in La Liga. Only a few weeks ago they were languishing in the relegation zone, bottom of the pile at one stage.

Barcelona win La Liga

Barcelona secured their third consecutiveLa Liga title last night after a 1-1 draw with Levante at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia. It is the club’s 21st La Liga title. Keita put the Catalans ahead midway through the first half but Levante equalised just before half time, Caicedo the scorer.

Wins for Málaga and Real Madrid

Málaga have clawed their way up from the bottom of La Liga and now sit in tenth place after their 2-0 victory last night over Sporting Gijón. Baptista and Eliseu were the scorers.

Wins for the top three

Four goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and one each from Sergio Ramos and Kaká were enough to see Real Madrid safely past Sevilla, the final scoreline 2-6. Negredo bagged a pair for Sevilla.

Atletico Madrid 0-3 Málaga

An excellent win for Málaga at Atletico Madrid, first half goals from Rondón and Baptista and a second half strike from Maresca. Should help their cause, namely to remain in the top flight.

Málaga too strong for Hércules

An important victory for the Blue and Whites at La Rosaleda in their attempts to remain in the top division, 3-1 against fellow strugglers Hércules.

Top two both lose

No change at the top of la Liga as both Real Madrid and Barcelona were beaten on Saturday evening.

Racing Santander 1-2 Málaga

The Málaga players will be suffering from vertigo this evening after climbing to sixteenth in La Liga as a result of beating Racing Santander 1-2.

Barcelona 2-0 Osasuna

Lionel Messi scored his fiftieth goal of the season so far as Barcelona overcame Osasuna 2-0, David Villa setting things in motion with a goal in the 24th minute. Not an easy victory for Barcelona by any means but a victory nonetheless and it keeps them five points clear at the top of La Liga.
