Los Cuñaos on calle Herrera Oría, Nerja, has recently reopened so a good excuse to check it out. All is basically as it was before, no major changes. There is a wide choice of tapas, football scarves still adorn the walls and the atmosphere is friendly and vibrant. Delicious fish ‘pinchito’. A beer and a tapa, €1.50.
Mariposa and Los Cuñaos
La Mariposa on calle Cristo is closed and looking for new owners, the former owners now running Doña Lola on the Plaza Balcón de Europa. Los Cuñaos, the ‘through bar’, on calle Herrera Oría is open again after being closed since September.
Los Cuñaos closed
Very sad to see one of the most iconic tapas bars in Nerja, Los Cuñaos (the through bar) on calle Herrera Oría, closed after Juan decided to call it a day. Perhaps someone will take it on but one of the problems, I’m led to believe, is the high rental cost of the premises.
Tapas at Los Cuñaos
Los Cuñaos, or the ‘through bar’ as it is often known locally, has an excellent selection of tapas, fish and meat. I had some small ribs in a mushroom sauce, with actual mushrooms in it. Very nice sauce. A beer and a tapa, €1.30 so very good value.
