A group of ten cyclists travelling through the Genal Valley near Faraján have been located safe and well after they called the Guardia Civil to say they were lost after their GPS system failed.
Four mountaineers rescued
On Monday night, Guardia Civil Mountain Rescue (Sereim) officers located and rescued four mountaineers who had managed to become disoriented while hiking in the mountains between Málaga and Granada provinces. They had set off from Canillas de Aceituno but the weather caused them to lose their way and they phoned for help.
Two hikers rescued from La Maroma
Two people who called the Emergency Services on Saturday evening to report that they were lost while hiking on La Maroma near Alcaucín were found safe and sound on Sunday. Infoca, Guardia Civil and Protección Civil officers launched a search after the couple, a man and a woman, both aged 25 years, reported their predicament.

Two hikers had to be rescued from mount La Maroma near Alcaucín after they became lost in thick fog.
