Mother of child killed at Three Kings parade found dead at her home

The body of the mother of the five-year old child who died during the Three Kings procession in Málaga on January 5th 2013 was found this morning at her home in Limonar. The death appears to have been from natural causes so no autopsy will be carried out.

Fatal fire in Málaga

One man died and a woman was injured this morning in a fire in a second floor apartment in Avenida Carlos Haya in Málaga. The fire began at 09:30 on Sunday morning and traffic was cut in both directions as firemen worked to extinguish the blaze. The couple had lived in the apartment for thirty years.

Youth run over and killed on the A-357 in Málaga

A 22 year old died on Friday night after being run over by a car on the A-357 near the School of Computing in Málaga. He was with a group of friends and had been attending the unauthorised Spring Festival near the Municipal Auditorium.

Spring drinking session in Málaga

Police warnings and threats of fines up to €350 did not deter around 6,000 people congregating at the municipal Auditorium in Málaga for the traditional spring macrobotellón (street drinking). Around 600 litres of alcohol have been confiscated and there have been at least three cases of alcohol poisoning.
