Two officers have been killed in an explosion outside the Guardia Civil barracks in Calvià, Mallorca. The blast occurred at around 13:50 today. Several people were also injured in the explosion.
Three arrested in connection with hotel collapse
Three people have been arrested in connection with the collapse of the Hotel Son Moll in Capdeera, Mallorca, in which four workers lost their lives. The three men, including the architect, have been charged with negligent homicide as a result of undertaking unlicensed and unauthorised construction work on the hotel.
Domestic fatality in Palma de Mallorca
A 31 year old man has been detained in Marratxi, Palma de Mallorca, on suspicion of killing his partner. The man reported the death to the local Guardia Civil some twelve hours after the event and suspicions were aroused after he gave two conflicting accounts of events.
