Sunday lunchtime and the mountain bike racers were speeding their way through town on their 60 kilometre marathon trip through Nerja, Torrox, Frigiliana and Competa.

Local lass Esther Hidalgo from the Cueva de Nerja-Uma Athletics Club just missed out on a podium place in the Spanish Half Marathon, finishing in fourth place.
