Water in Montejaque and Benaoján now deemed suitable for drinking
After 35 days the residents of Montejaque and Benaoján are able to use the tap water for drinking and food preparation after the Junta de Andalucia lifted the ban imposed due to contamination of the water supply. The latest tests, carried out on November 21st, showed an absence of the fecal contamination.
Water in Benaoján and Montejaque still not fit for human consumption
The latest analysis of the water supply from wells in Benaoján and Montejaque show that the level of contamination has been reduced by between 94% and 99% but the water is still not deemed fit for human consumption.
