As from September 1st, Council employees will start working 37.5 hours per week instead of the current 35 hours per week to comply with Law 2/2012 of June 29th relating to the State Budget.

Los Barrios municipal employees to receive some of their outstanding wages
The Mayor of Los Barrios, Jorge Romero, announced on Friday that ‘within hours’ money would be made available to pay one and a half months of the outstanding wages for municipal employees. The Mayor added that steps are being undertaken to find the remaining outstanding amounts.
Strike action in El Ejido
