The Local Government Group has approved a motion recognising the work of Damian Bueno, the man in charge of the organisation, management and coordination of the Nerja Carnival during the past thirty years. Damian Bueno also delivered the opening speech, pregón, at the first Nerja Carnival thirty years ago.
