The Councillor for the Environment has filed a motion for debate asking for forestry activities for Nerja to be included in the Emergency Plan for Employment operated by the Junta de Andalucia.
Clean-up in preparation for the rains
The Council is carrying out cleaning works at the mouth of the rio Chillar and, at a later stage when the works are adjudicated, at the mouth of the rio Seco.
Workshop for Christmas decorations
Monday saw the start of aseries of weekly workshops at the Youth Information Centre in calle Cristo for making Christmas decorations and ‘fofuchas’, the course being given by Paola Gallardi.

The exceptionally long, warm weather has come to an abrupt halt with temperatures suddenly plummeting. One or two tourists still persevering with shorts (and thick jackets), as they usually do, but they have a blue tinge to them.
Pisces Fish and Chip Restaurant/Takeaway
December 6th 2013 will see the opening of a new fish and chip shop in Nerja. It is called Pisces and is located in calle El Barrio in the alley between ZaZa’s chicken restaurant and the ice cream parlour. It will offer both an eat in and take-away service.
Events for Constitution Day 2013
The Councillor for Citizen Participation has announced the events to commemorate Constitution Day, beginning with a talk to be given by the provincial delegate Maria Bravo at the Nerja Cultural Centre, calle Granada 45, on December 4th.
Roadworks in avenida Castilla Perez as from Monday November 25th
As from Monday November 25th, the bottom section of avenida Castilla Perez, from the junction with calle Almirante Carranza, will be closed to traffic for approximately three days while work is carried out on the sewage system.
Events planned for the International Day Against Violence Against Women 2013
The events for the International Day Against Violence Against Women begin with a reading of a manifesto by representatives of all the political groups in the municipality, these readings taking place in the various colleges in Nerja.
Work starts on rio Seco crossings
The Councillor for Infrastructure has announced the start of the construction of three crossings along the Rio Seco, a project costing €91,800 and financed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development.
Linda’s Bar closes
Linda’s Bar on calle Málaga closed on Wednesday night, November 20th, and after a bit of a refurbishment will reopen on December 1st under new ownership.
