La Caña closes
The cafe La Caña next to the Guardia Civil station on calle San Miguel, Nerja, has closed down. After a fairly long existence as a cafe and bar it then changed to being a snack bar and kebab house.

Improvement works being carried out on changing facilities at football field

The district committee against gender violence held its board meeting in Nerja on Wednesday and the Nerja Councillor for Equality announced that this year the Council will launch a coeducational programme for equality which will consist of conducting talks and work in collaboration with schools in the district to promote equality and the fight against gender violence.
