The Biblioplaya – Beach Library – is once again present during July and August on Torrecilla and Burriana beaches.
Recording almost finished for the Canal Sur programme Viva Andalucia
A recording crew from the Digitsuit production company has just completed three days of filming for the new Canal Sur TV series ‘Viva Andalucía’. All that remains is to record some aerial shots which will be done with an octocopter, a small remote controlled helicopter.
All’s well that ends well
An elderly Nerja resident received a telephone bill from a mobile operator in the amount of €1,244.27 for a single call to a shopping channel lasting a total of 35 hours.
Railings and wailings…
The whole of the Torrecilla beachfront at the bottom of Plaza de los Cangrejos now has shiny new stainless steel railings. The wall of the second phase was completed some time ago and now, in the past few days, the railings have been added.
Final evening of Virgen del Carmen celebrations
The final evening of the Virgen del Carmen celebrations took place in the Plaza de los Cangrejos on Wednesday evening with free sardines, beer and soft drinks at €1, spirits at €3.50 and a performance by Duo Compás.
A mosey on down to the Saloon
For a change, we decided to try the food at the American style Saloon in avenida Castilla Perez. It is a large bar/restaurant, serves Budweiser on draught and has a small street terrace, which is where we plonked ourselves down.
By day and by night…
Always willing to oblige if we can, so here’s a little video, requested by Ryan, of Plaza Tutti Frutti during the day and at night, not much difference really.
Workshops for 2013-2014

Nice moon…
Very nice early evening moon the past few days. As well as the Virgen del Carmen procession there was the odd bit of aerial activity and it would have been Spielbergesque to get one of these guys passing in front of the moon, but it just wasn’t to be.
