Mobile ITV unit summer schedule

The mobile ITV unit for mopeds will be in Nerja on July 15th, 17th, 18th and 19th and then again on July 29th, 31st and August 1st. The location is the market site in Almijara (Map), the time 09:00 – 14:30. It is a first come, first served system, just make sure you take all your documents.

The former Barbados bar in calle Fray Junipero Serra has now become La Gran Evasión, a pizza and cocktails establishment.

Narcotics Anonymous in Nerja

Nerja now has Narcotics Anonymous, a non-profit organisation composed of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem.

TV Cuatro in Nerja on Friday July 12th

On Friday July 12th, there is a chance that a black van could pull up alongside you and out will jump two men. The scenario is part of a new upcoming TV Cuatro series Negocia como puedas in which members of the public will get the chance to win a lot of money.

Mini tapas run

One of the advantages of having visitors is that it forces you to make time for a few more tapas, not that it actually takes much persuasion at all! The first mini tapas run involved La Bodeguilla (calle Antonio Millón), Sevillano (calle Chaparil) and El Tapeito (calle Chaparil), very little walking involved.

Senior excursion to Málaga

A group of sixty seniors from Nerja and Maro went on a cultural visit to Málaga on Thursday, the trip organised by the Nerja and Málaga Councils.

New street names

Until now, street names in the Barriada de los Poetas are of Nerja have always borne the names of male poets. However, at the request of the Fuente del Baden Women’s Association, two new street extensions will be named after female poets.
