Illegal encampments being removed
The Local Police and Guardia Civil have been busy this morning removing a number of illegal ‘settlements’ on or near several beaches in Nerja.
A bit more subtle…
There was a group of workmen fiddling with the ornamental lighting on Calahonda beach during the day as well as appearing to hold a meeting on top of the big rock at the end of the beach.

There were a couple of musicians on the Balcón de Europa last night. Well, three. A duo and a solo guitarist.
Council acquires new rubbish containers
The Council has acquired a total of 103 solid waste containers and a further 120 for use with plastic waste, these to be installed throughout the municipality in the coming days.
Rafiki’s up for sale
Rafiki’s is calle Fray Junipero Serra, Nerja, didn’t last very long. Grand opening on June 3rd 2014, now up for sale. Refurbished, too.
Zumba workshop
The Youth Information Centre is launching a new Zumba workshop to be taught by Christian David Callejón Navas, the classes aimed at people aged between 14 and 35 years.

The ‘tree house’ in calle Carabeo does look rather splendid. Half expected a Hobbit to come running out.
