Just opened on avenida Mediterraneo in Nerja, opposite the Hotel Riu Monica, is a new Tex-Mex restaurant called Andale.
John Peatey 1956 – 2014
We are sad to relate the sudden passing on Sunday of John Peatey at the age of just 58 years. John was well-known around Nerja for many years and was involved in numerous activities, including writing articles for Soltalk magazine and The Costa del Sol News. This from the Costa del Sol News:
Body found on Burriana beach
The body of a man was found early this morning on Burriana beach in Nerja by members of the Municipal Cleaning Service who were carrying out their regular duties.
Out and About July 8th 2014…
Eight o’clock in the morning and it was like jogger city out there, people presumably trying to get their run in before the heat begins. You still do get the odd jogger in the real heat of the day, though.

The moblie ITV (MOT) unit for scooters and mopeds will be in Nerja on August 6, 7. 8. 13. 14. 20 and 21, the location being the market site in Almijara II.

Today started off with a light wind, then it calmed down before become very strong and blustery. The red flags were fluttering on the beaches for most of the day, even though at times the sea was relatively calm.

There was actually some activity behind Calahonda beach, about the first time since the day the project to install special lighting began a couple of months ago. The project had a completion period of four months.
