Preparations are already under way for the San Isidro celebrations on May 15th and from now until May 2nd is the period for anyone wishing to apply for permits for ox carts, bars, ice cream stands, hamburger stalls etc. Applications can be made at the multi.purpose counter on the ground floor of the Town Hall.
Gang of burglars rounded up
Two people have been arrested and two others have been charged in connection with a series of burglaries carried out in Nerja.

La Taberna is open again
The excellent restaurant and tapas bar La Taberna in calle Cristo, Nerja, has reopened after extensive renovation. It is now much larger, having absorbed the former Sardina Alegre restaurant next door.
Let there be ornamental lighting
The local government team has approved the awarding of the contract to improve the lighting on Calahonda beach and the installation of ornamental lighting to light up the cliffs at night.
