Two climbers suffered serious head injuries yesterday in the mountains near the town of Monachil in Granada province after suffering falls.
Search for missing mushroom picker
A search has been mounted in Jimena de la Frontera for a 60 year old man who set out on Saturday morning to pick mushrooms but failed to return home. The search began early this morning in the area where the man’s car was discovered.
El Torcal observatory
The astronomical observatory in the Visitor Centre in El Torcal, Antequera, is set to open to the public either at the end of this year or the beginning of 2011 according to the provincial delegate for Environment, Remedios Martel.
Torrox car park losses mounting up
La Almedina underground car park in Torrox Pueblo, built at a cost of €7 million and opened in December 2008, has accumulated losses of over €1 million and both the Council and the concessionaire are exploring solutions to the situation.
Axaragua to increase charges
