The colourful Córdoba Patios, a tradition dating back to Roman times, has been added to the UNESCO ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage’ list. A similar application made last year was rejected. For 12 days at the beginning of spring, residents of Córdoba open their balconies and patios to the public.
Córdoba patio owners not happy with Council
The owners of the famous Córdoba Patios are threatening not to open their doors to UNESCO in September unless the Council pays its outstanding debts, subsidies and grants for the maintenance of the patios.
