Plaza to plaza, building progress

Up at Plaza Cantarero work is progressing once more, albeit quite slowly. The orange trees seem to have been thinned out a bit but at least they are still there, otherwise it would no longer be Orange Square.

Plaza Cavana, March 23rd 2010

Almost frantic activity in Plaza Cavana at the moment, presumably a sudden attempt to get the square finished in time for Easter. So many workmen on the site, no doubt pulled from the other works such as calle Carabeo. It is quite noisy as the paving stones are being cut and laid but it shouldn’t last too long.

Calle Carabeo, March 22nd 2010

Work has started on filling the hole next to the Hotel Carabeo 34. Elsewhere in calle Carabeo there is little or no change to the situation as the work progresses at a painstakingly slow rate. Plaza de la Ermita, March 12th 2010

Plaza Cavana, March 12th 2010

Plaza Cavana still looks like a scene of devastation but it is slowly getting better. The walkway at the bottom end looks good with the mosaic bits and the centre of the square is now getting the same treatment.

Calle Granada and Plaza Cavana

Calle Granada is closed to through traffic as the bottom end near Plaza Cavana has been dug up again as part of the ongoing renovations in the square. Traffic entering calle Diputación from avenida Castilla Perez can only exit via calle El Barrio and back onto avenida Castilla Perez.

Calle Carabeo February 28th 2010

It is very slow progress on the re-urbanisation of calle Carabeo and there is still a long, long way to go before it is finished and it is looking like it will be well over schedule, much like the first phase of works on this street. At the moment, it is actually possible to walk the entire length of the …
