The Provincial Basketball Circuit 3×3 was in Nerja on Saturday with 22 teams from all over Málaga province taking part. The competition took place in Plaza de España and began at 18:30 and finished at 21:00 with the awarding of the various trophies.

The third Crafts Market, now a regular monthly feature, took place in Plaza de España on Saturday between 10:00 and 20:00.

Following the success of the second Crafts Market held in Plaza de España on Saturday, the Council has decided to make this a regular monthly event. There were 50 stalls at the weekend with various handicrafts including wood carvings, jewelry, paintings, glassware and leather goods.

Hotel Mena Plaza
Several years after the completion of Plaza de España, formerly Paseo Nuevo, the first business is operating in the square. It is the new two star Hotel Mena Plaza. The square is, of course, the site of the Nerja History Museum, or will be when the political wranglings cease and it is eventually completed.
