The Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, was one of the many dignitaries attending the annual ceremony yesterday to officially award the ‘Q’ for ‘Quality’ flags to 174 Spanish beaches, including Burriana and Torrecilla in Nerja.

The Fitur tourism fair in Madrid saw the handing out of some 500 ‘Q’ for ‘Quality Tourism’ awards, including four for Nerja: Burriana Beach, The Municipal Tourist Office, Toboso Apartments and Marina Turquesa Apartments.
Q for Quality award for Marina Turquesa apartments
The Marina Turquesa apartment complex near Burriana beach has been awarded the ‘Q’ for Quality Spanish Tourism, having met all the required standards of the Institute of Quality Spanish Tourism. The block, owned by Lual, comprises 20 apartments and the facilities include an outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool, gymnasium, recreation room, sauna and massage service, internet and a supermarket.
