Torrox Council trying to improve waste management system
The Department of Environment of Torrox Council has scheduled a series of initiatives to promote the collection of waste in the municipality with the objective of improving and modernising the system of waste management and developing programs to raise awareness about recycling.
Cooking oil recycling in Torrox
Torrox Council has signed an agreement with the company Reciclados La Estrella in Jaén which will see the distribution of 4,500 containers to encourage the recycling of cooking oils in the municipality. The company will collect the oil for free.
Recycling campaign along the Costa del Sol
The Association of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol-East has launched a campaign to raise awareness amongst both residents and tourists of the importance of recycling and conservation of the coastline. The initiative will take place at beaches, promenades, plazas, public pools and markets in a total of eleven municipalities.
