Fire in Almeria

A couple and their young baby were rescued early this morning after a fire at their home in calle Alcalde Muñoz, Almeria. The family, noticing the fire, made their way to the roof where they were eventually rescued by firefighters. They were later allowed to return to their home.

Immigrants rescued

Marine Rescue and Guardia Civil officers have rescued 49 Sub-Saharan immigrants whose boat was adrift in the Straits of Gibraltar.

10 people rescued in Almuñecar

Rescued after 32 days adrift

Two sailors have been rescued near Tenerife after being adrift in their small fishing boat for 32 days; The two men, a Spaniard and a Moroccan, went fishing off the coast of Huelva in their small boat. Their engine broke down and they ended up drifting aimlessly for a toral of 32 days.
