Sunday was the finals of the Nerja Tennis League 2012/2013 with a total of 24 players taking part in six groups.
Barcelona 2-1 Real Valladolid
An under-strength Barcelona were 2-1 victors in their match against Real Valladolid on Sunday, an early strike by Pedro and an own goal from Valiente just before half time being sufficient. Victor Peréz scored from the penalty spot in the 89th minute for the visitors.
Granada 3-0 Osasuna
Valencia and Real Sociedad are still battling for the fourth Champions League slot, both teams winning their matches on Saturday.
Results of the XIV Short Story Contest
This past weekend saw the presentation of prizes for the XIV Short Story Contest organised by the association ‘The Adventure of Writing’. The theme this year was ‘romantic stories’.
Málaga 0-0 Sevilla
Málaga and Sevilla played out a 0-0 draw on Sunday evening, the result leaving Málaga in sixth place in La Liga but now under threat from Betis who have played one game less.
Atlético Madrid 1-2 Barcelona
Two goals from Soldado and one each from Guardado and Valdez gave Valencia comfortable victory over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

Barcelona are La Liga champions after Real Madrid could only draw 1-1 at Espanyol on Saturday evening.
Real Madrid 6-2 Malaga
Malaga suffered a bit of a drubbing on Wednesday evening, losing 6-2 to Real Madrid and finishing the match with only nine men after Sanchez and Demichelis were both ordered back to the dressing room.
Barcelona 4-2 Betis
Betis twice tool the lead against Barcelona on Sunday, first through Pabón in the second minute and Ruben Pérez just before half time, but were pegged back by strikes from David Villa and Alexis.
