Barcelona remain top of La Liga after a rather flattering 0-5 win at Rayo Vallecano on Saturday evening, three of the goals coming in the final ten minutes after Rayo failed to make the most of some great chances.

Another Champions League win for Málaga

The fairytale continues as Málaga recorded their third win in the Champions League with a 1-0 victory against AC Milan at La Rosaleda. Joaquin, who had earlier sent a penalty shot high over the crossbar, made amends by finding the net and the Blue and Whites have maximum points and are yet to concede a goal.

Wins for Valencia and Barcelona

Barcelona snatched victory with the last move of their match against Celtic in the Champions League. Samaras put Celtic ahead after 18 minutes and it took until the 45th minute for Barcelona to equalise, the goal coming from Iniesta.

Pedrosa wins rain-hit Malaysian GP

Dani Pedrosa won a red-flagged MotoGP in Malaysia as rain forced the premature end of the twenty lap race after fourteen laps. Lorenzo, who almost crashed out during the race, came home in second place with Casey Stoner in third.

Three early goals from Alba, Tello and Messi and Barcelona were cruising against Deportivo but a Pizzi penalty and a strike from Bergantiños put the home side back in the game.

Monologue Competition results

Twenty-two year old Carmelo González Serrano was judged the winner of the Monlogues Competition held during the feria, her piece entitled ‘ How the crisis affects our choices of leisure’ won her €150, a trophy and a certificate.
