CD Nerja are now in sixteenth place in the Third Division Group 9 after losing 2-0 to Atl Mancha Real at the weekend. Union Estepona are still five points clear at the top despite losing 2-1 at San Pedro.
Stoner wins in Valencia
Casey Stoner produced a late charge to win in Valencia as MotoGP remembered Marco Simoncelli. The riders in all three racing classes gathered for a tribute before the race to Simoncelli who was killed in the Malaysian MotoGP.
Real Madrid 7-1 Osasuna
A bit of a one-sided affair at the Bernabeu as Real Madrid hammered seven past Osasuna, winning the match 7-1 in the end.
Valencia move up to third
The Blue and Whites played our a 0-0 draw against Real Betis on Saturday night while Sevilla also failed to score as they drew 0-0 with Mallorca. Goals in the other game though as Valencia moved up to third place after beating Levante 0-2 with goals by Jordi Alba and Tino Costa.
No Alcohol Day poster competition results
Alejandro Rodríguez García has been proclaimed the winner of the Poster Contest for World No Alcohol Day which has organized the Nerja Department of Youth. The second prize went to Laura Moreno Fernández and the third to Yu Chen.
Málaga 2-1 Espanyol
After a good start to the season Nerja have been slowly slipping down the table and are now sixteenth after losing 3-0 at San Pedro.
Barcelona 5-0 Mallorca
A ninth minute goal from Higuaín was enough for Real Madrid to beat Real Sociedad 0-1 on Saturday evening and move to the top of the table pending Sunday’s games.
Levante back on top
The Blue and Whites seem to be losing their way a bit at the moment, this evening losing 2-0 at Rayo Vallecano. Boteljo put Rayo ahead after just 7 minutes and Tamudo added a second midway through the second half.
Levante go top of La Liga
Recently promoted Levante are now the leaders in La Liga after a 0-3 win against Villarreal, the first time they have been top in their 103 year history. Juanlu scored two of the goals, Koné adding the third. We’ve now had Betis, Málaga, Valencia, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Levante topping the table so far this season.
Real Madrid back at the top
Real Madrid are currently top of the pile after a 0-4 win at Málaga, Higuaín starting things rolling and then Ronaldo helping himself to a first half hat-trick. Barcelona are one point behind Real after a 0-0 draw against Sevilla. Levante could go top on Sunday if they can overcome Villarreal.
