The financial crisis has not affected everyone. Amancio Ortega, the 76 year old Spanish owner of the fashion chain ‘Zara’, has seen his personal fortune increase by 32% this year and this has elevated him to the position of third richest man in the world with €38 billion.
And the rich get richer
The Sunday Times Rich List indicates that during the past year of recession and financial crisis, the combined wealth of Britain’s 1,000 richest people has increased by 30%.
