A man has been arrested in Marchena, Sevilla, after falsely reporting the theft of his wallet near the municipal fountain while celebrating Spain’s World Cup success when, in fact, he spent the money celebrating in a local ‘alternative club’.

This morning. the mainly wooden door is split and splintered and the padlock conspicuously absent, suggesting that entry has been forced into the Frock Exchange on calle Doctor Fleming/avenida Castilla Perez at some time during the night or the early hours of this morning. A 36 year old security guard is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in the chest by thieves attempting to rob a school in Sevilla.
British national detained for robbery
A British national, initials P.W.N., has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery carried out on the streets of Nerja. The complainant, also a foreign citizen, was robbed after being threatened with a knife. The robber made an appearance in court and was remanded in custody.
