Ronda Council has started a project to repair a number of rural roads in the municipality which were damaged by the winter rains. The total cost will be around €190,000 and is being financed by the local and provincial authorities.
Council requesting provincial funding for road repairs
Torrox Council is asking the provincial government to become involved in the financing of repairs to rural roads damaged during storms. The Junta de Andalucia is already carrying out renovations to 19 rural roads in the municipality at a cost of €500,000.
Grant for improvements to a dozen rural roads
Torrox Council is proposing to spend €250,000 on renovating about a dozen rural roads in the municipality with a grant from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Junta de Andalucia, the Council only having to pay the IVA.
Improvements to rural roads in Archidona
During the next 40 days, work will be carried out on a number of rural roads in Archidona between Las Huertas del Río and Salinas. The project includes cleaning, improvements to the margins and removing rubbish and rubble.
Rural roads repaired around Campillos
A total of 14 kilometres of rural roads around Campillos have now been repaired, these including 5 km on the way to Lobón, 2 km between Campillos and Fuente de Piedra, 1 km between Campillos and Osuna, 1 km of the camino del Baño Castillo and 5 km of the camino Vallehermoso.

Torrox Council is to spend €500,000 on improvements to rural roads in the municipality, a project to be carried out in several phases. The first phase will be completed during the next three weeks.
Rural road repair in Torrox
Torrox Council has launched a campaign to repair around 200 kilometres of rural tracks this winter to ensure that local farmers are able to get the crops from their fields without problems.
