There are now 102 confirmed cases of salmonella infection in Osuna, Sevilla, which could be related to food eaten at a wedding celebration last Saturday. One person has been hospitalised.
Sentence reduced
The Supreme Court of Justice in Andalucia (TSJA) has been lowered from 20 years to 4 years the prison sentence of a man accused of killing his 28-day-old baby in Sevilla. The baby choked to death on a piece of toilet paper. The mother, who was initially sentenced to ten years in prison, has now been acquitted.

Industrial fatality in El Saucejo, Sevilla
An industrial accident in El Saucejo (Sevilla) on Thursday claimed the life of a 40 year old worker. The man was working in a locked facility at km 18 on the A-451 when a large piece of glass fell on him. The incident is under investigation.

Youth seriously injured after brawl in Sevilla
A young man is in the Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital Virgen del Rocío in Sevilla after being stabbed during a brawl on Saturday morning outside a disco in calle Cromo on the Calonge industrial estate. Five other youths needed treatment for various cuts and bruises.

Baby that plunged from fourth floor apartment has no serious injuries
The 16 month old baby who fell from the fourth floor of an apartment in the El Cerezo district of Sevilla last Saturday is in a stable condition at the Hospital Virgen del Rocío and has no serious injuries. The baby fell onto a parked car before hitting the ground.
