A-92 suffers again

The A-92 highway has suffered once more as a result of the heavy rains with an eleven kilometre stretch near Diezma having to be closed due to subsidence and hillslides. The affected stretch is between km 271 and km 282 in the direction of Sevilla.

Cocaine haul in Sevilla

Nine people have been arrested in Sevilla in connection with international drugs smuggling. Police seized 174.5 kilos of cocaine, hidden amongst pallets of goods from Paraguay, during a raid on a warehouse in Alcalá de Guadaíra.

Search for missing woman

Guardia Civil divers are searching for a 46 year old woman who fell into the rio Guadalquivir near the Coria del Río football field in Sevilla yesterday afternoon. The search is being hampered by the fact that the river is swollen by the recent rains and a lot of waste materials have accumulated.

Argument about football turns nasty

Local Police in Sevilla arrested a 50 year old man in a bar in Macarena after an argument about football turned into a brawl in which the bartender was stabbed. The detainee has two prior arrests for similar offences.
