A 39 year old pregnant woman has become the first fatality in Andalucía as a result of complications arising from infection with Influenza A.

15 arrested in Sevilla for drugs trafficking

Fire near Gelves reignites

A fire near Gelves, Sevilla, which had been brought under control has reignited. The fire began on Sunday in an area of crops and olive groves and resulted in the evacuation of 60 people from their homes as a precautionary measure.

Maximum alert for fires

One year jail for negligent homicide

A man who forgot about his 23 month old child in the back of his car in Sevilla which resulted in the death of the child through heatstroke has accepted a jail sentence of one year for negligent homicide.

Sevilla fire could have been started deliberately

Police in Sevilla are investigating the causes of a fire in an apartment block in the Naciones area of the city in which 11 people were injured and 80 residents had to be evacuated from their homes.

17 and a half years jail for attempted murder

The Provincial Court in Sevilla has sentenced a 31 year old F.J.M. to 17 years and 6 months in jail for the attempted rape and attempted murder of a woman in the town of El Palmar de Troya. The man was also ordered to pay compensation to the victim of €88,097.
