Spain to begin withdrawing troops from Afghanistan in 2012
Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero has announced that Spain will begin withdrawing troops from Afghanistan in the first half of 2012 and that all troops will be withdrawn by 2014.
Back to 120 kph as from July 1st
The Council of Ministers has decided not to extend the 110 kph speed limit on highways and so as from July 1st the limit will revert to 120 kph. The Government estimates that €450 million was saved as a result of the limit reduction.
Ministry wants beer cans and bottles to carry 18+ label
The Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality is in discussion with beer manufactures to ensure that all beer cans and bottles carry a label stating that consumption is not recommended for people under 18 years of age.

Ten fatal road accidents over the weekend
Ten people died and another three were seriously injured on the roads in Spain over the weekend. Saturday was the worst day with five fatal accidents.
E Coli death toll rises to ten
The death toll as a result of the E Coli outbreak in Germany has risen to ten, with another thousand people affected by the bacteria.
