Plans for a general strike

The CCOO and UGT Trades Unions have decided upon September 29th as the date for a general strike to protest against the government’s labour policy. It is the same day that the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) has called for action throughout the EU.

Decline in unemployment in May

According to the Ministry of Employment and Immigration, unemployment in Spain fell by 76,223 people in May, the second consecutive monthly decline.
