New summer hours at the Nerja Donkey Sanctuary. During the whole of July and August, the sanctuary will be open from 10:00-14:00 and 17:00-20:00 during the week and 10:00-14:00 at weekends.

Summer crackdown on street vendors
The summer season will see more Local Police officers on the streets of Nerja as part of the annual crackdown on unlicensed street vendors and the sale of counterfeit products.

Summer swimming courses
The indoor swimming pool will be closed during July and August for its annual maintenance. The outdoor, summer pool will, however, be open with a wide variety of classes planned for children between the ages of 6 years and 13 years (seven groups) and for those who use the pool for therapeutic reasons.

The pound has dipped under €1.20 in the local ‘no commission’ exchange places, not good news for visitors.
