The regular summer trampoline thingy is now in place down at the bottom of Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos, next to Torrecilla beach. Always seems to be popular and stays in use till very late at night.
Parasol city…
Parasol city on Torrecilla beach today and, due to the current tides, a lot more beach area available to bathers. Hardly a breath of wind. At one end of the beach, the local cave dwellers have made a really good sand sculpture, a working model as well!
The mysterious orange slick
An mysterious orange slick has been making its way along the coast in recent days and yesterday, much of the water at Torrecilla beach was affected.
What a difference a day makes…
‘What a difference a day makes’, as someone once sang, and it’s so true. The beautiful weather brought people out in their droves, not so much in the centre of town but down at the beach. The pavement cafes around Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos were teeming with customers, all enjoying a sit in the sun for a change. Torrecilla …
Another one bites the dust…
A fair number on the beaches today, some of them venturing into the water. Looks like Los Grifos on calle Mérida has gone. Shame, nice place and novel, the only bar with beer taps on the tables so you could help yourself. Nice sunny terrace, too. It’s up for rent if anyone is interested!
Six new play areas for the kids
The Nerja Council, thanks to a grant of €194,000 from the Andalucían Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Sports, has installed 6 new kiddies play areas, five on Burriana beach and one close to Torrecilla beach at the bottom of Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos. There are various bits of apparatus, slides and climbing ropes etc, but still trying to work …
