Nerja Town Hall to create 40 new jobs
The new places include six people to work in the town hall to deal with local planning permissions, and the town’s computer system. British tourist Mike Crowther has donated hundreds of photos, some of them quite large, of the recent San Isidro celebrations. The photos are on display on the second floor of the Town Hall and anyone appearing in any of the photos is free to take that photo away, free of charge.

Avenida de Las Margaritas in Las Lagunas, Mijas, is back to normal again, one of the lanes having been closed due to the construction of the new Town Hall in the Cortijo de Doña Ermita area.
Locked out
Only one incident has so far been reported in Nerja on ‘strike day’, presumably related to the industrial action, and that was early on Wednesday morning when municipal employees turning up for work discovered that the five doors to the Town Hall had been glued shut.
Spanish classes
Spanish Classes organised by the Town Hall will once again be taking place at the Carabeo Centre (calle Carabeo 80, at the end of the road before Edificio Rocamar).
