A total of eleven people had to be rescued on Christmas Day after becoming trapped by snow on the A-1178 between the towns of Bacares and Serón in Almeria.

An elderly person is known to be trapped under the rubble of a house which collapsed this morning in calle Villa Valencia, Ourense. Rescue workers are proceeding carefully as there is a danger of a further collapse of the three storey building.
