Both Deportivo la Coruña and Valencia have ended the league stage of the UEFA Cup in second place in their respective groups. In the final round of matches, Deportivo drew 2-2 with St Etienne and Valencia beat Nancy 1-0. The draw for the next stage takes place on Friday.
